St. Therese Catholic School was opened in
September, 2000. It is a Diocesan School under the
jurisdiction of the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Pueblo
and is serving children throughout Pueblo County.
Policy-making is delegated to a seven member board of
directors appointed for a three (3) year term of office.
Four members are parents of students attending the school,
two are representatives from the community who have no
children in the school and one is a representative of the
Bishop who serves at the will of the Bishop. The
parents and students undertook the construction of the 8,000
square foot building at a cost of some $850,000. The
building began in May of 2000, and was completed in
mid-September, 2000. The final payment on the
indebtedness of the building was made in March of 2005. |
